Hire Period

Delivery and set up will be day prior to your booking start date. On the delivery we would like you to meet us and to show us where exactly you’d like your hot tub to be installed.

The hot tub will be collected on the last day of the hire. The night before driver will send a text message out with your collection time slot. We can collect the hot tub without you being around as long as we don’t need to go through the house and we have your permission to go through the side gate. If we don’t have access to collect our hot tub on the expected date without any notice from you, we will charge you a flat day rate of £50 until we are able to collect your hot tub.

Your responsibility when hiring the hot tub

We ask you to assist us in the delivery and collection at your location. Please give us clear instructions, and take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our people.

You must make sure you have access to water & hose pipe should be long enough to reach the hot tubs location.

You must make sure you have a suitable supply of electricity and it must be in close proximity (within 4m) to where the hot tub will be placed. Alternatively, you can use an extension lead that has to be in good condition and 13amp.

We require a flat level base to place the hot tub on, this can be slabs, concrete, blocks or any firm hard standing. If you do not have adequate standing for our hot tubs we advise you to notify us before hiring to assess whether or not we can hire to you.

If you plan to place our hot tub on grassed and pebbled areas then you are taking full responsibility of any damages that may occur as a result. If the area is not level causing the pump not to work then any requests to refund will not be upheld.

If you plan to place our hot tub on decking or similar area, please make sure it is secure / strong enough to hold the hot tub full of water as well as people that plan on using it at the same time. If we are not able to install your hot tub due to health & safety as per above, we will refund your money with a deduction of £50, for the time and fuel that we spent.

If we are not able to install your hot tub due to your booking being for an indoor use, we will refund your money with a deduction of £50, for the time and fuel that we spent.

You, the hirer, become responsible for the hot tub when you receive it until we collect it, please take extra care to stop any sharp objects from being around or in the Hot Tub and prevent people from jumping in or on the hot tub etc

You will need a drain close by to empty the hot tub at the end of the hire period.

Gazeboes & Extra Items 

All items such as gazeboes, floating light with the speaker, any holders etc are given to the customer with instructions. If damage is caused to any of the items as a result of customer negligence or due to ”Gazebo Guide” not being followed during the hire, flat charge rate of £50 will apply.

Safety Instructions

You must make sure that everyone using the hot tub is properly instructed on how to use it safely. Children under the age of 16 are strictly prohibited from using the hot tub, unless under strict supervision from adults at all times.

Enter the water with care making sure it is not too hot (test first).

At a temperature of 37C or above you should not spend more than 15 minutes in the hot tub.

You the hirer must make sure the hot tub is not misused.

Only use plastic glasses in the hot tub.

Do not enter the hot tub with clothes on, suitable swimming attire only.

Do not enter the hot tub with shoes on or with any sharp object on you.

You must make sure everyone showers before using the hot tub.

Do not dive or jump into the hot tub.

Do not sit on the hot tub cover.

Do not smoke whilst in or around the hot tub.

You the hirer must ensure everyone using the hot tub is in a sound, healthy and fit state or have permission from their doctor where appropriate to use the hot tub safely.

Pregnant ladies must not use the hot tub or seek doctors advise first.

Anyone on medication must consult their doctor and if you have any health concerns, please consult your doctor before hot tub use.

You the hirer must make sure users are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

You must ensure that rules over too many people using the Hot Tub at once are put in place to prevent personal injuries and damage to the hot tub.

Always leave the hot tub plugged in and switched on when not in use in order for the filtration / heating systems to work.

Accidents / Injury

The hirer acknowledges that the use of the hot tub is at the hirers own risk.

South East Hot Tub Hire Ltd will not be held liable for any accidents, injuries or death. This includes falling over on wet surfaces or falling in or out of the hot tub.

South East Hot Tub Hire Ltd will not be liable for accidents, injuries, or death caused by misuse of our hot tubs – this includes drinking, drugs etc.

Use of Chemicals

Your health and well being is most important to us. Our hot tubs are thoroughly cleaned before each new hire period. We use detergent and bacteria killer. If you would like us to clean the hot tub in your presence, please ask us.

We bring enough hot tub chemicals (chlorine) with us for your hire period and we will show you how to use them. Although we add chemicals when setting all up, we only use a guidance amount of chlorine for health and safety. You will be able to adjust amounts on the chemical dispenser to suit your needs better, if required.

Do not add bubble bath, foam bath or washing up liquid of any description.

DO NOT use the hot tub if the water is not clean, not sparkling and not smelling fresh.

Damages to your property

South East Hot Tub Hire Ltd will not be held responsible for any damages to your property through hiring any of our hot tub, this includes any water damage or weight damage to structures, fixtures, fittings, garden or grass areas as a result of the hot tub location.

It is the hirers full responsibility to make sure the area where the hot tub is going to be placed is suitable and will not cause any damage.

Things like the filled weight of the hot tub (1325 litres  = 300 gal of water) on the surface needs to be taken into account as well as the amount of water that will be drained after the hire period.

We DO NOT accommodate indoors hires.

Lost, stolen, damaged or unclean hired hot tub

You, the hirer, are responsible for looking after the hot tub and returning it to us in the same condition and good working order as they were received.

Charges may incur if hot tub is not returned or returned with a damage, or bad staines, which can be caused by self-tanning products, certain types of drinks etc

If you do not pay for any damages, replacement parts, or stolen hot tub we will pursue a claim in the small claims court.

Limits of our liability

All the times and dates we quote for delivery or collection are approximate, we will not be liable for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If the hot tub breaks down or stops working we will determine the problem as soon as possible after you have reported it to us, and then we will come up with a solution as soon as possible. All steps will be communicated to you.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you cancel your booking 30 days or longer before your hire start date, full refund or a credit will be issued, which ever you would prefer.

If you cancel your booking 29 days or less before your hire start date, we will offer to reschedule or credit will be issued, which ever you’d prefer.

Any requests for refunds or to reschedule, must be done so in writing via email to: support@southeasthottubhire.co.uk providing with details of your original booking and what is it that you request. We aim to respond within 3-5 working days of your email.

Any agreed refunds will be paid to the original card or bank that was used to make the payment for hire.

Important: no refund will be given for misuse of property, improper use of guidelines or the absence of a complimentary item. Any lost days during hire by either fault of the equipment or due to delivery shall either be compensated by an extension of hire or agreed credit amount for a future hire. We will reserve the right not to make any refunds, hire extensions or credits until inspection or collection of our equipment has been made first to determine who is at fault. Upon this inspection we will respond to the hirer within 3 working days of collection and allow the hirer sufficient time to contest our decision.

Refunds shall not include a reimbursement of delivery charges where the hirer has used the hot tub.

No refunds shall be given where a fault has been reported late and led to South East Hot Tub Hire Ltd not being able to provide a remedy for the hirer to continue hire. This also includes where the hirer is not present during installation and the fault is unknown as well as the hirer not seeking advise on proper heating or any other sorts of instructions.

Potential Charges

  • Minor repairable damage to pump or liner (inc pin prick punctures, bad stains) – £100
  • Excessive damage to either pump or liner – £300
  • Gazebo damage to either structure or material – £50
  • Popup Dome damage – £100
  • Floating light and speaker damage – £20
  • Loss if any equipment external to the hot tub or pump (inc air pump) – £20 – £100 (TBA)

Other Terms

If any term in this contract cannot be agreed to, then the hire of South East Hot Tub Hire Ltd equipment will not be supplied.

By hiring our hot tubs you, the hirer, agree to release South East Hot Tub Hire Ltd and any of its employees from any and all liabilities incurred during the hire or use of the hot tub.

On hiring the hot tub you agree to accept our Term and Conditions and acknowledge that the use of the hot tub is at your, own risk.
