Terms of Hire
By hiring from us you are accepting our Terms and Conditions.
Hire Period
Delivery and setup will take place the day before your booking start date. We recommend meeting our team upon arrival to show us your preferred installation spot. However, if there is side gate access, along with water and power supply, we can proceed with setup even if you’re not present.
Once you receive your delivery time slot, please inform the driver and send them a photo indicating the exact placement of the hot tub. Please note: We do not stay to supervise the filling process, so you’ll need to begin filling the hot tub as soon as you return.
Collection will take place the day after your hire ends. The driver will send a text the night before with your collection time slot. If we do not need to go through the house and have your permission to access via a side gate, we can collect the hot tub even if you’re not present.
Your Responsibility When Hiring the Hot Tub
We ask for your assistance during delivery and collection at your location. Please provide clear instructions and take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our team.
Water & Electricity Requirements
– Ensure you have access to a water supply, and that a hose pipe long enough to reach the hot tub’s location is available.
– A suitable electricity supply must be within 7 meters of the hot tub’s placement. If this is not possible, a – – – 13-amp extension lead in good condition can be used.
Surface & Placement
– A flat, level base is required for installation. Suitable surfaces include decking, tiles, grass, or any firm, hard-standing area.
– If you believe that your surface might be unsuitable, please call us before booking, so we can assess whether hire is possible.
– If placing the hot tub on grass, you accept full responsibility for any impact on the grass’s condition after removal.
– If placing it on decking or similar structures, you must ensure it is strong enough to support the weight of the filled hot tub and users.
Booking Conditions
Our hot tubs are for outdoor use only. If we arrive and find the booking was made for an indoor setup, your hire will be canceled, and a £50 fee will be deducted for time and fuel costs.
Care & Responsibility
– Once delivered, you (the hirer) are responsible for the hot tub until collection.
– Take extra care to prevent sharp objects from coming into contact with the tub.
– Jumping in or on the hot tub is strictly prohibited, as this may cause damage.
Gazeboes & Extra Items
Customers are responsible for returning all hired items in the same condition as they were received.
For example, if weather conditions change and high winds occur, it is the hirer’s responsibility to take down the gazebo to prevent damage.
Safety Instructions
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please follow these guidelines:
- All users must be properly instructed on how to use the hot tub safely.
- Children under 16 are strictly prohibited from using the hot tub unless under constant adult supervision.
- Always test the water temperature before entering to ensure it is not too hot.
- If the water temperature is 37°C or above, limit your time in the hot tub to 15 minutes.
- The hirer is responsible for ensuring the hot tub is not misused.
Usage Rules
✅ Only use plastic glasses—no glassware in or around the hot tub.
✅ Wear appropriate swimwear—no regular clothing.
✅ Shower before use to maintain water hygiene.
🚫 No shoes or sharp objects in the hot tub.
🚫 No diving or jumping into the hot tub.
🚫 Do not sit on the hot tub cover—it is not designed to hold weight.
🚫 No smoking in or around the hot tub.
Health & Safety Precautions
– All users must be in a healthy condition or have medical approval if needed.
– Pregnant women should not use the hot tub unless advised otherwise by a doctor.
– Those on medication or with health concerns should consult a doctor before use.
– Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited when using the hot tub.
– The hirer must ensure the hot tub is not overcrowded to prevent injuries and damage.
Maintenance & Operation
– Always keep the hot tub plugged in and switched on when not in use to allow the filtration and heating systems to function properly.
– Filter must be washed 2-3 times a day & replaced if becomes too dirty.
Liability & Acknowledgment
– The hirer acknowledges that using the hot tub is entirely at their own risk.
– South East Bubbles Ltd will not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or death, including incidents such as slipping on wet surfaces or falling in or out of the hot tub.
– South East Bubbles Ltd is not responsible for any harm caused by misuse, including but not limited to the influence of alcohol, drugs, or reckless behaviour.
Health & Hygiene
Property Damage and Responsibility
South East Bubbles Ltd will not be held responsible for any damages to your property resulting from the hire of our hot tubs. This includes water damage or weight damage to structures, fixtures, fittings, gardens, or grass areas caused by the hot tub’s location.
It is the hirer’s full responsibility to ensure the area where the hot tub will be placed is suitable and will not result in any damage. Considerations include the filled weight of the hot tub (approximately 1325 litres or 300 gallons of water) as well as the water drainage after the hire period.
We do not accommodate indoor hires.
Delivery, Collection & Breakdown
Delivery and collection times and dates will be confirmed the night before. However, we will not be held liable for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as traffic or other unforeseen factors.
If the hot tub breaks down or stops working, please contact us immediately. We will assess the issue as quickly as possible, provide a solution, and keep you updated throughout the process.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 14 days or more before the hire start date will receive a full refund or a credit, depending on your preference.
Cancellations made 13 days or less before the hire start date can be paused, rescheduled, or receive a credit, depending on your preference.
To request a refund or to reschedule, please send an email to: support@southeasthottubhire.co.uk with your original booking details and your request. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
Any agreed refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the hire.
Important Notes:
No refund will be given for misuse of the hot tub, poor maintenance (leading to pump malfunctions), or failure to follow usage guidelines.
If there is a fault with the equipment or issues related to delivery, any lost hire days will either be compensated with an extension or suitable alternative compensation.
We reserve the right to inspect the equipment and collect it before issuing any refunds, hire extensions, or credits. Once the inspection is complete, we will respond within 48 hours and allow you reasonable time to contest our findings.
No refunds will be given if a fault is reported late, preventing us from remedying the issue during the hire period. This also includes situations where insufficient details are provided or if the hirer does not seek advice on proper usage or instructions.
Potential Charges
We aim not to charge customers for accidental damage. However, if the damage is caused by negligence or intentional misuse, we will investigate the matter and may apply charges accordingly.
Agreement & Liability
- If any term in this contract cannot be agreed to, the hire of South East Bubbles Ltd equipment will not be supplied.
- By hiring our hot tubs, you, the hirer, agree to release South East Bubbles Ltd and its employees from any and all liabilities incurred during the hire or use of the hot tub.
- By hiring the hot tub, you accept our Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that the use of the hot tub is entirely at your own risk.
